I have been advising clients for over two decades. I initially built my experience within the legal property sector, where I developed a strong understanding of complex transactions, client care and attention to detail.
In 2008, I moved into the world of financial services, where I now provide tailored financial advice to individuals and families across the North and East of England. My background enables me to combine technical knowledge with a practical, real-world approach — helping clients make clear, confident decisions about their financial futures.
My experience in the financial services industry spans almost two decades. I began my career as a Financial Consultant with a highly respected Assurance Society, where I spent ten successful years building strong client relationships and developing a broad technical foundation.
I was awarded the Diploma in Financial Planning in 2012 by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). This qualification reflects an ongoing commitment to continuing professional development and adherence to a strict industry Code of Ethics. I am currently working towards achieving Chartered status.
Over time, I recognised that I could better serve my clients by establishing my own practice and I set up Educate Financial Ltd in 2018. This allowed me to spend more time understanding each client’s individual needs and aspirations, while also extending the range of services I could offer.
I provide a fully personalised, bespoke service and specialise in the following areas of financial planning:
· Financial Planning
· Taxation and Trusts*
· Investment Planning
· Retirement Planning
· Inheritance Tax Planning
· Personal and Business Protection
Financial planning can feel complex, but my aim is always to explain information clearly and concisely, ensuring clients fully understand their options and the decisions they are making. This approach, combined with my focus on building long-term relationships, underpins my commitment to intergenerational financial planning for families.
During my career, I have developed a particular specialism in supporting education professionals. I have expert knowledge of their career pathways, pension schemes, and the associated benefits available to them. I work closely with schools and colleges across the North of England and regularly deliver financial wellbeing events for staff.
While this is an established area of specialism, I work with clients from a wide range of professions and backgrounds, all at different stages of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love travelling, cycling, and exploring all things ‘boys’ with our two sons. Weekends are often spent in a muddy field somewhere, watching our eldest play football or rugby.
